Being an oxygen breather myself, I've found it difficult to visit races that require a different air mix. However, Babylon 5 provided me with the unique opportunity to visit with members of these races. Babylon 5's Alien Sector used to be nicknamed the Zoo since all the aliens' quarters had a glass-enclosed front porch facing the hallways. Now the Alien Sector is nothing but dull walls and doorways blanketed in non-oxygen atmosphere with the exception of the Hanging Gardens. A long cylinder wrapped around the station's core, the Garden's atmosphere supports methane-ammonia vegetation held in planters suspended from the ceiling by long, heavy chains. The Dilgar War Memorial is located here. |
